According to the Sri Lanka Railways, commuters those who have registered will allow using office train services from today (11).
According to the procedure, registered commuters will be informed in an SMS about the train, carriage number and seat number. The commuters will only be allowed to get into the train after verifying the information in the SMS at the start station.
Covid-19 Task Force had assigned 600 Army soldiers for security purposes and two Army officers would be assigned to each compartment.
Sri Lanka Railways is planning to add more trains in the next week as the Deputy General Manager of Railways stated.
Commuters those who wish to travel by train during next week(18) should register between May 11th and 13th.
