Sri Lanka Railways has decided to recommence goods and parcels transport services starting from 1st of June 2019.
Railway station masters will carry out an identification check before dispatching goods or parcels to trains.
Transporting goods and parcels on trains was temporarily suspended due to the 21st April attack. Due to the temporary suspension of goods and parcels, Sri Lanka Railways faced a loss of Rs. 15 million.
