Commemorating the 16th year of the Tsunami in Sri Lanka on the 26th Dec. 2004, which is also known to be one of the World’s Worst Train Disasters to have taken place.

Let us all take a moment to remind all those beautiful souls we lost in a day like this. May these souls rest in peace!

Unfortunately, due to the spreading of Covid-19 in 2020, train #8050 was cancelled as of travel restrictions and cancellation of long-distance trains.

The featured picture from 2018 of train #8050 headed to Matara via a one-off stop at Peraliya (where the train was knocked over) hauled by M2c 626.
