A ceremony to add a fully air-conditioned powerset to Mount Lavinia - Kankesanthurai Intercity Express train was held yesterday (09) with the participation of Hon. Minister of Transport, Mrs. Pavithra Wanniarachchi, General Manager of Railways and other special guests.

Mount Lavinia - Kankesanthurai Intercity Express train is now equipped with a fully air-conditioned Class S13A DMU which has a passenger capacity of 550 seats.
